When to Apply:
• Use on new lawns prior to seeding or sodding, either spring or fall.

How to Apply:
• Below are the three most common uses for a starter fertilizer.
  See back of bag for proper spreader settings.

New Lawns from Seed:
• Apply 3.4 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. Work mechanically into the top 6 to 8 inches of topsoil.
  After the new seedbed is prepared, work another 3.4 pounds into the top 1 to 2 inches
  (one 34 pound bag covers 10,000 sq. ft.) Apply the seed, rake lightly or roll, and water
   moderately. Keep the soil moist by watering daily.

New Lawns from Sod:
• Follow the same instructions as with seeding, except the seed now becomes sod and mulching is
  not necessary.

Overseeding established Lawns:
• Apply 3.4 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. Apply new seed at a half rate and keep moist. This can be
  done any time of year, but for best results spring and fall are preferred due to cool, moist
  conditions.
